"Touched By Grace" originated in 2004 as an answer to prayer. After a life-changing event in 2002, I found myself praying over and over, "Lord where do you want me? What do you want me to do with my life? You know my gifts, my abilities and my heart. I want to do your will, not that of my own. Give me direction and wisdom. Help me to find joy and peace in pleasing you and in doing your work, while helping to provide an income for my family." Just under two years later, God gently answered with one word..."baskets." Instantly I repeated aloud, "baskets?" He softly yet vividly showed me glimpses of what he meant. Baskets that will touch others with His words of compassion, encouragement, wisdom and strength. Baskets that are filled with His creations such as rocks, vines, birds, pine cones, gardens, as well as works of art from His children through pencil sketched note cards and artwork, CD's, and best of all that which can be hidden in our hearts and pulled out later whenever the need arises...His word. Now, I'm sure you're wondering how we got from baskets to a Christian store front, and that really happened by the Lord opening up doors when I least expected. I had been operating only by word-of-mouth and really doing a consistent business when I was introduced to a source, which made my original prayers, hopes and dreams of going live on the Worldwide Web look more realistic. I immediately saw this as an opportunity to let the "world" get a chance to see the many products I enclosed in these baskets, as well as an opportunity to expand to larger items, which couldn't fit in a basket, but that could offer the same inspirational messages of compassion, encouragement and strength that were set before me in the answer to prayer. This was once again proof to me that all things happen in God's timing. Not that of our own. "Touched By Grace Gifts" was then born in the Spring of 2008. To God be the glory!

"Your name must be Grace, right?!" Over the years this question has been a common one. Although it seems to be the most logical explanation to the business name, this is not where the name comes from. While the Lord was giving me glimpses of what He had in mind for me, the name "Touched By Grace" almost instantly popped in my head. I felt the name was so appropriate for the visions he had painted before me. My wish now is to give you a touch of that vision... Take a moment to remember a special time when you felt true joy. Here are a few of my personal moments, which may help you to recall one of your own. Remember the joy you felt on Christmas morning when your loved one opened the special gift that they never would have expected yet with all their desires deeply wanted but didn't dare express. Imagine giving a gift anonymously to someone in need and while standing in the shadows of observation you are so greatly moved by the sheer surprise and gratitude the person displays. Recall the flow of warmth through your spirit that you felt when you gave that little lonely child a smile and a hug or pat on the head, knowing that may have been the only human touch he experienced that day, week, or months to follow. This is "Touched By Grace Gifts". Who is Grace? Our Heavenly Father. The products at "Touched By Grace Gifts" have been hand chosen to best express the vision that was placed before me. Many of the items have been purchased from local artists and musicians who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Additional items have been purchased from Christian Companies who share the same desires as Touched By Grace Gifts, and want nothing more than to share their love for the Lord through these beautiful items. It is their desire and goal, as well as all of us here at "Touched By Grace Gifts", that the recipients of these gifts and the givers feel the overwhelming joy that they have been "Touched By Grace" above.
